What you’ll do

This programme is designed to give you insights into our business through a number of placements in different locations around the UK. Whether you’re based in IT, Digital or Change Management, you’ll work with professionals and leaders who’ll help you develop leadership and customer service skills, as well as engagement and communication skills. We may also support you through a professional qualification, too. It’s an exciting opportunity to discover how far you can go in your career.

Education Criteria

Degree requirement: minimum of a 2:2 undergraduate degree (gained or expected).

The Lloyds Banking Group Strengths and Cultural Assessment Test.

The Situational Strengths Test will present you with a range of scenarios, where you will need to rank order your responses from your most to least preferred. The test is not timed and timing does not factor in the score you attain.

The Numerical Reasoning Test

This Numerical Reasoning Test assesses your ability to evaluate, analyse, and interpret numerical data. The questions will contain graphs and tables, which you will refer to when answering the questions. The amount of text is limited. The time taken complete the test is taken into account as part of the scoring.

The Critical Reasoning Test

The Critical Reasoning Test will look to assess your aptitude for critical thinking and decision making. You will be required to work with information which is presented through paragraphs of text. The time taken to complete this test is taken into account as part of the scoring.

  • If you have a disability or long term health condition you may require additional time to complete this test. . We will ask you to specify on your application form if this is the case and we will factor the adjustments required automatically as part of the scoring
  • If you are happy proceeding with an automatic, industry standard adjustment of 25%, you are able to proceed with completing the application form and taking the online test now without any further interventions being needed.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE COMMENCING YOUR APPLICATION

Time required to complete

The first stage of your application will take about 90 minutes complete, however please note that there are no time restrictions. We advise you to complete your application and online tests as soon as possible as candidates are progressed through the selection process as and when they apply. Places at the assessment centre are allocated on a first come first serve basis and when the programme is full we will not run further assessment events.

Information and tips on the initial selection process

We use a range of tests and assessments to understand if you are well matched to Lloyds Banking Group and the programme you have applied for. To help you prepare and understand the assessment process, we have outlined a few hints and tips below:

  • After completing the basic details on the application form, you will be asked to complete the Lloyds Banking Group Strengths and Cultural Assessment and a Numerical and Critical Reasoning Test.
  • To ensure you are prepared to take the tests, try to make sure you have access to a quiet space where you can concentrate. We recommend removing distractions (including turning off your phone) so you are able to focus fully.
  • Before completing the Lloyds Banking Group Strengths and Cultural Assessment you may wish to think about the things that you do well and enjoy doing. We would also suggest reviewing Lloyds Banking Group’s website – www.lloydsbankinggroup.com
  • Before completing the Numerical and Critical Reasoning Tests, you may wish to take a practice test by visiting and registering at www.jobmi.com. You will need to register your details and head for the Practice Assessments section.
