Help us rewrite the rules in financial services

New technologies, new ways of working and new goals. We’re changing the way we help 30 million customers, businesses and communities across the UK, and it starts with our Finance teams. They are at the centre of our new mission to become the bank of the future, and now we’re searching for new talent to join them and help us grow. So, if you’re looking for a career with impact – we have a job for you. And the great news is you don’t need a business or finance degree to come and work with us.

Do you connect numbers and data in a way that others can’t? Would you like to see your work make a difference to millions? Do you want to start your accountancy career with an industry leader? If so you’ll make a great addition to our Finance teams. You will be involved in decision-making processes across our business, ultimately helping us to become the bank of the future.

During a number of placements across three years in different locations around the UK – or we have a Scotland programme that is based solely in Edinburgh – you’ll work in a variety of areas to develop your strengths. Over this time, you will make an impact through your work and through initiatives that give back to communities.

Day to day you’ll be:

- Reviewing business decisions across the group – from finance to business improvement, you’ll have a say in how we work day to day
- Learning about our businesses to ensure the provision of high quality financial advice and insight to your internal stakeholders
- Undertaking core finance activities including forecasting, reporting, profitability modelling and business case development
- Using new technology, models and data to improve the quality of insight from the Finance division
- Building strong and lasting relationships with colleagues across all levels of the business
- Analysing the banking industry to understand the impact, risk and opportunity for Lloyds Banking Group

People do their best work when they feel happy and valued; that’s why you’ll receive the tools you need to develop the career you want – from mentoring to delivering TED-style talks. We’ll support you to complete an industry recognised professional qualification – such as CIMA or ACA (or ICAS in Scotland) – which is a core part of the programme and will help you to build a future career in finance. You’ll also have the chance to lead on UK community volunteering initiatives.

As the largest digital bank in the UK we’re dedicated to helping Britain prosper. Working as part of the Group, you’ll not only represent Lloyds Bank but our other brands too, including Bank of Scotland, Scottish Widows and Halifax. Our focus is to become the bank of the future, and with over 12 million online and eight million mobile users, we’re constantly exploring how to bring new digital solutions to our customers.

A 2:2 degree or above in any discipline from any university. The variety and experiences of our colleagues makes our workplace unique, so we encourage people from every kind of background to apply. It’s important for us, and it shows. Recently, we were named a Times Top 50 Employer For Women, as well as the Best Bank in the World for Diversity and Inclusion at the Euromoney Awards 2017 and a Times Top 100 Graduate Employer.

Locations: Our Graduate Programmes are rotational and our Finance roles are based nationwide.

*We also have a Finance Graduate Programme based solely in Scotland. The programme follows a similar format, but all placements are based in Edinburgh and you will study for an ICAS professional qualification. To apply for this role, select Finance (Scotland) on the programme list on the application page.

Salary: From £28,000 plus a range of great benefits.

We also offer an Actuarial scheme within our Insurance Finance team, under our insurance brand, Scottish Widows. This rotational programme offers graduates the opportunity to train as an actuary, working within the insurance business to deliver fair outcomes for customers, and ensure the company remains in strong financial health. For more information, including the specific criteria and the application process for this scheme, please visit our careers site and search for actuarial roles.
